Pros and Cons of Each Sleeping Position

  • Most notably, side sleepers can experience arm numbness due to resting on a single arm for a long period. 

  • Finally, this position puts a lot of pressure on your shoulders which can lead to shoulder pain. So if you experience such a problem, then you should avoid sleeping on the left or right side, and prefer sleeping on your back. 


Stomach Sleepers


  • Stomach sleeping prevents snoring.


  • Sleeping on your stomach is regarded as the worst sleeping position specifically in case you have back problems. especially if you have back problems. 

  • This sleeping position flattens the natural curve of your back and Ileads to severe lower back pain. 

  • Plus, sleeping all night with your head turned to one side can make your neck strained. 

  • In spite of this if you prefer sleeping in this position, then stick to your and take a pillow under the hips and lower abdomen to provide the bottom of the spine a lift. 


Despite these pros and cons, sleeping is a much personal experience. This means you should sleep in whichever position that feels comfortable to you and in which you can sleep with total relaxation.
